Blog #2 Hockey injuries

Hockey can be a rough sport. the goalof the game is to outscore the opposing team during three 15 minute periods. during the game it is common to try to knock the opposing players down on to the ice. This is known as checking.

Most injuries in hockey come from being checked when you rnot looking or when you recieve a check into the boards. Checking has been known to give players severe concussions as well as maybe getting a couple teeth knocked out.

There are other ways as to getting hurt in hockey suck as getting hit in the face by someones stick of the sharp blade on the skate. many players have been hit in the eyes by another players stick. This can cuase  permanent damage to the eye. This injury always result in a bloody mess on the ice.

Getting cut by the sharp blade on the ice skate can be very dangerous and deadly. These accidents occur mainly when a player gets knocked to ice and there feet are high in the air. Many players have had their necks cut and sliced open due to getting hit with the skate.
