Wrestling

Wrestling is a very aggressive sport. To be able to be a wrestler you have to be able to deal with pain. Many injuries can occur during your three, six minute periods. During that time you are getting twisted and bent where it hurts a lot.

Many high school wrestlers deal with dehidration as they are trying to cut weight in order to make it down to their desired weight class. I personally have a freind that has had to deal with this and he ended up in the hospital for a couple days.

A big injuy is califlower ear. Wrestlers recieve califlower ear when they recieve a heavy blow to the ear. This can result in your ear being permantly deformed. some wrestlers do not consider this as an injury they consider it as a badge of honor.

Broken bones is a big injury. There are many wrestlers that recieve broken noses due to being crossed faced. Getting crossedfaced somply means that the opposing wreslter will take his arm, put it over your nose and jerk your head hard the opposite way. I still have a broken nose due to being crossed face too hard.

There are also a lot of torn rotator cuffs. In wrestling your shoulder is always being twiste torqued and bent in ways which it should not be. If the injury is bad enough surgery might have to take place to fix it.
